Citadel
Citadel
Discovered in 1818 by the archaeologist Manuel Gamio, the Citadel is a harmonious quadrangular architectural complex with an area of 160,000 m2, in which 15 pyramidal bases can be seen: four of them on the west side have steps leading to the Calzada de los Muertos, the rest They give access to the interior of the citadel. Seen from the heights, it looks like a large walled complex that contains the Temple of Quetzalcóatl and the Attached Platform in its bowels.
